We would highly recommend Alan! We were told by two mortgage advisors we couldn’t get a mortgage and then basically ignored by a third. As first time buyers we had pretty much given up.Alan stuck with us and tried every way to get us on the property ladder, his communication was brilliant and I honestly couldn’t fault him, considering we had to change many details throughout he never made us feel stupid or like an inconvenience. Thank you

Both Chris & Lorraine were fantastic when handling our mortgage application. We’d previously used another company but were recommended to The Mortgage Guy by countless people. We are so grateful for all their help, knowledge and understanding of all of our questions we asked on different occasions. Not only did they find us the best deal, they made the process of getting our first mortgage whilst being self employed & during the pandemic a reality and we cannot thank them enough.
We will be using The Mortgage Guy for all future mortgage & protection needs and will happily recommend to anyone seeking professional help.

He was happy to help from day one and we hadn’t even paid him yet! As first time buyers we had a lot of questions and took a fair few months looking at properties, ups and downs meant putting buying a property on hold and revisiting it. Though he assisted through all that time answering all our questions and just generally being a good go to guy for help. Once we had an offer excepted he booked us in straight away to get the ball rolling. He recommended solicitors who were also amazing. We felt we could fully trust him, he was completely professional, knowledgable and friendly throughout the entire process. Always checking in on us to make sure we were ok. We completed yesterday and he even called to check everything had gone through and gave us his best wishes. We would highly recommend Stefan and will be using him without a doubt in the future. We couldn’t of asked for a better service or mortgage advisor!!

Customer Testimonials

Fantastic service from start to finish, a great team. We got a good competitive morgage, insurance protection from Chris to meet our needs and service that showed they care. We were dealing with tmg for almost a year with a re-morg and then a house move and as it became complicated Holly and Tabitha were very helpful, nothing is too much trouble to help you through any neccesary paperwork/legal processes. Thank you guys!

Put simply, equity release allows you to unlock cash from your home in the form of a tax-free lump sum, or by drawing smaller amounts as and when you need them. During retirement, some people may choose to downsize in order to raise funds. However, if you don't want to move from your family home, equity release could be the ideal solution for you. Ask to be referred to Key Retirement, the UK's number one equity release specialist today to find out more about equity release. Unless you decide to go ahead, Key's service is completely free of charge, as their typical advice fee of 1.95% of the amount released is only payable on the completion of a plan.

There are many types of mortgage in existence. Which mortgage is right for you depends upon your circumstances and requirements. The cheapest rate might not necessarily be the best long term prospect as other factors can control the amount you pay over time. The repayment-type model which is the safe method guaranteeing that the mortgage will be repaid at the end of it's term (providing payments are maintained throughout the term of the mortgage). The interest only method which relies on another form of repayment for the capital at the end of the term.

You will need to have buildings insurance if you take out a mortgage. Most lenders make it a condition of the mortgage offer that you arrange insurance to protect your property against serious damage, such as the house collapsing. Buildings insurance protects the structure of your home, as well as permanent fixtures and fittings such as baths, toilets, fitted kitchens and windows. Simply put, items that cannot be moved when you move house are covered by buildings insurance. The amount of cover you will require should be enough to cover the rebuilding of your property which may bear no relation to the property valuation.
