We would like to remortgage to get 10,000 extra on top of our current mortgage so we can extend our house. Our current mortgage is with HSBC and is 100.000 our house is valued at 190.000. We would need to self certify as I am a teachers earning 13.000 a year but my partner is 6 mths into his first year of business. He will earn 25.000 a year but this isn't the case in the last 6mths because he has bought all his materials, a van and converted an out house into an office and built a shed for storage.
