Peter joined Barclays Bank in the late 1980's, where he progressed to Senior Mortgage Specialist, charged with the promotion & administration of the Bank's mortgage products to customers. He then joined Davidson Deem in the mid 1990's as a partner. He has been particularly active in introducing I.T. systems to ensure that the increased volumes of business did not detract from the quality of service, in which the company prided itself.

Fantastic service, very professional and quick, Peter clearly knew a lot about our professional circumstances which was a key area we had had difficulty elsewhere. They were very efficient and when we particularly were pushed for time they responded fast and made the application much easier for us to get in when and where we wanted. They explained every step of the process very clearly and managed to get us exactly what we wanted despite slightly difficult circumstances due to their expertise in both the financial sector and in our careers. Cannot recommend enough especially to other professionals who are having difficulty with mortgage/loan applications due to the unconventional nature of their work or pay.

I dealt with Peter Stokes for my mortgage and couldn't be happier with the service I achieved. I had a tight turn around to get my mortgage approved and Peter understood the urgency and dealt with everything extremely quickly. As a first time buyer he also explained everything with clarity which made me the process that much smoother. As a result, I had my mortgage offer in within 2 weeks oif my application. I was blown away by the service at Davidson Deem. Through the process of looking for a house I was put into contact with a large number of mortgage brokers, but none took the time and made the effort that Brian Keane and James Parsons at Davidson Deem did. With other mortgage brokers their services were restricted to relaying whatever their computers said my options were on the basis of my income and other details. Brian went the extra mile in appealing to the mortgage provider to offer me a better rate, (than would usually be available to a self-employed person in my position). I could not recommend DD highly enough and would (and have already) recommended them to friends and family.

Peter and his team from Davidson Deem have been nothing less than fantastic in supporting us through the process of buying our first place. Every call has been informative and guiding, we never feelt like Peter was in a rush or had no time for us. My partner was in his first month of F1 as Junior Doctor so had no show of a steady income, so we had a lot of questions and Peter answered all of them. This is a brilliant company - highly efficient and professional from start to finish. Davidson Deem are a wonderful organisation. They have fantastic pull within the mortgage market but gave me as a customer the familiarity and warmth of a small firm. At the start of my house-buying journey they took the time to educate me on how the mortgage market and its varying options work and really got to know what was going ti be right for me - even helping me slowly explore this.
